Bleeding During Menopause- Is It Normal?

Menopause is a part of natural way of growing age in women and it should be taken in a natural way too. When symptoms of menopause are discussed the first thing that is considered is the menstrual cycle. Some women experience heavy bleeding during menopause whereas some find that the menstrual period is not at all seen for a long period of time.

So there are no particular criteria for menopause symptoms as it varies from woman to woman. Sometimes it happens that when some of these symptoms like heavy bleeding or irregular menstrual cycles are seen in women who are attaining the age of menopause they are misunderstood to be symptoms of menopause. There might be some other problem that might lead to some serious ones. So if there is excess of vaginal bleeding and even if the woman is in her 40s or younger, she should consult her doctor.

The bleeding during menopause is to an extent considered normal but even if it is a part of menopausal symptom it has to be checked. So awareness is needed among women so that she takes care of her health and health related problems. The menopausal symptoms that are psychological are not so serious because they occur due to the hormonal imbalance but the physical problems need to be checked. Like the excess of bleeding during menopause can be consulted with the doctor and the doctor may prescribe a pelvic exam for that. This becomes sometimes important, as the doctor might not be able to decide if there is any vaginal infection or not. Pelvic exam does not hurt the patient but it is quite possible that she might feel uncomfortable.

After the pelvic exam the doctor gets confirmed if there is any other health related problem in the woman or not. If the doctor finds something suspected then you might be advised to undergo some other medical tests to get it confirmed. Due to the symptoms of menopause there happen to be some confusion so it is advisable to consult the doctor for better advise. Bleeding during menopause either in excess or less or the absence of periods during this stage are normal symptoms and are found in most of the women. But to be on safer side and with the inclusion of medical wisdom it becomes important that you see a doctor. Vaginal bleeding might be a normal symptom too or it might be due to some infection or other problem.
